What's the significance of "beucephalus"? Googling was little help. Be(a)u-cephalus = pretty head?

Beucephalus is the name of Alexander the Great's horse, as well as that of the horse ridden by Baron Hieronymous Karl Fredrich von Munchausen (in the movie, at least).
