Audio Montage by Lincøln

February 20th, 2008 10:57 AM / Location: 34.251201,-118.3571

INSTRUCTIONS: Create an audio montage by overlaying multiple audio tracks into one.

I made my Audio Montage using four musical pieces. One is a Jon Brion composition from Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, the other is a Tom Waits song called Closing Time, and underneath it all is a sad sax solo that I have mixed and edited and fucked with that was originally called Goodnight Julia from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack and I start off with a little horn intro from Modest Mouse. Then on top of all of that I added the meat of this montage which is primarily me reading eighteen Richard Brautigan poems. I've included some old clips from phone messages from a lover from my past as well to add a little bit of spice.

Very nice. Made my layover in PHX a lot more pleasant.

Nice to hear the voice that goes with the feet.

Lincoln: I think zemaluco means this picture...

Oh, that picture...
posted by Lincøln on February 21st, 2008 12:36 AM

Well, Ben (and maybe Zemaluco by proxy). That picture is there so the proof looks like something on the praxis page and isn't a screencap of my audacity file. And since the whole piece is about love I figured a picture of a mysterious woman would be appropriate.

This is amazing. I have Audacity as well, but I could never be able to fully harness it's powers as you have done too. And how do you upload audio for use in a praxis?

Thanks.

You upload audio the same way you upload photos. You can upload any media that way. Or email it to your SF0 email account. Which for you would be Yotsuba13@sf0.org
