Character Business Cards by Orange Rose hopes of peace

January 12th, 2008 9:30 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Make business cards for your character. If you like, you may hand them out when doing tasks for the game. You may want to make a calling (or "visiting") card instead:
The essential convention was that one person would not expect to see another person in their own home ... without first leaving their visiting card with the person at their home. Upon leaving the card, they would not expect to be admitted at first, but might receive a card at their own home in response. This would serve as a signal that a personal visit and meeting at home would not be unwelcome. On the other hand, if no card was forthcoming in return, or if a card was sent in an envelope, a personal visit was thereby discouraged.

So, I decided to make a sort of "Orange Rose was here" cards to leave behind where I had tasked. Perhaps put on a string, and hung somewhere nearby.
So, I took out some little paper circles I've been hanging onto for something just like this. You may recognize them from Pixie Devil's Public Smear Campaign. They were also the base of her buttons.
I took a few of them, and used crayons to draw on two things that have represented my player-self recently. I drew three orange roses, and three blue robots. On the back, I simply put SF0.org, to give any curious observers some way to discover my identity.
Oh, and I left myself plenty of blank ones so that I can change my design as I change my player photograph.

Three orange roses.

Three orange roses.

I altered my design a little on the second and third ones, more free-form.

Robots.

Robots.

Three blue robots. The upload manager turned them sideways, no idea why.

Sf0.org

Sf0.org

again, the upload thing turned it sideways.

Stacks

The stack of completed ones, next to the stack of how many I could do in the future.

i like the idea of leaving these behind as calling cards. also helps promote sf0, so that's cool. i think they are simple but effective.
