March 3rd, 2008 10:16 PMI dropped the task in my lack of faith.
Then, while I was in Texas a couple weeks ago my parents gave a BBQ for my visit. Everyone had their camera out, as you do when someone is back in-town after a long absence, As we were all being silly taking snap shots, my mother pointed her camera at me and said "Make my Face!". (I had explained this task to her and my sense of failure). Knowing exactly which photograph she was referring to, I obliged.
It has been a long standing source of entertainment in our family that I look almost identical to my mother.
It is not a perfect recreation, but I think considering the story, and the family resemblance, it's a fair job.
Plus the fact that my mother aided me in completing a task sort of makes me giggly.

Ok, since there were some requests to attempt a more accurate recreation, I actually put effort into a Re-Photograph.
This effort consisted of teasing my hair (shudder), balancing my tripod inside my bathroom sink, using towels as a back drop, pulling out my grandmother's peal earrings, and practicing the finger nibble in the mirror.
This is as close I can can get without purchasing a costume, props and putting together an actual photo shoot.

So much like her in fact that I think you can go for the limit on this one: this positive comment becomes a vote when you find a big-buttoned coat like that (it doesn't have to be exact, just sufficiently suggestive), style your bangs, and go all out!

Oo I was expecting just a simple conversion of the first photo into black and white, but you really made an extra effort! Nice coat, nice flash, and angle...this is great.
It was awesome the first time, now it is rocktacular and jamtastic!

Lincoln the fact that you just made up two words made my day!
I used the dialect of sf0 players as an example in my linguistics class for something linguistic anthropologists called "portmanteau" which is "a word or morpheme that fuses two or more words or word parts to give a combined or loaded new meaning."
For example:
-rocktastic
-spectaculous
-shplankeriffic
-awesomeful etc.
It's funny, because you know it's a dialect when everyone knows that you're talking about or referring to.
I'm glad I didn't vote for this before, because that means that I can vote for this now with the super cool side by side comparison.
