Make It Work by Ali Khan

I was looking around through my garage, when I found an old, "broken", lava lamp.
Considering its COLD in my garage, the (red) lava within was instead a glob of "frozen" goop. This is more or less "broken" to me, and so I decided to take it in, and do what I could.
So sad.
I plugged the poor soul in, and flicked the switch, and flicked it again when nothing happened.
So not only did I have to fix the lava, but the light as well!
So I went outside, and stole a small light bulb from that lamp we only use on those idyllic nights in summer.
I threw that in, and got a better view of the goop.
So I decided that all it needed was someone to help it help itself, and so I simply left it alone, and went off to do another task.
I came back after an hour, and saw that it was seperated, although still "frozen" in place.
Coming back in another hour, I saw that it was magically restored, although the texture was still rather goopy, making me believe that it was never a particularly good lava lamp.
I turned off the light, and came back in 20 minutes, and let it bask in the dark, in it's "infinite majesty", before retiring it in a cardboard box.

I yearn for magma, the glowing warm basalts, the red glow of the lava pools.

You = crazy.
Those things get HOT.
