The boards in the bottom of the shot make a makeshift wall that indicates that the building within is not to be entered. The building within is (used to be) a motel on Sunset Blvd called the Sunset Pacific. I wanted to get a shot of the whole building, because it's super-creepy, but it wasn't working out. The motel is in a shambles, totally decrepit and looks like it was condemned. There's just enough exterior light to see what the place looks like, but the place seemed otherwise dark. Some of the doors to rooms are wide open and there is mess and graffitti everywhere. However, there are also cars in the parking lot of this place, and on the night I was there, I noticed a blue light was on in one of the windows. This crappy shot is the best I could get from the street of this stairwell masterpiece. It's an outline of a man in suit and the text reads "United Snakes of Amerika" (with the "Amerika" off to the lower right of the figure). End of Night #1.
