part of Ethereal Cartography
download file I had a lot of fun with it. I tried to draw a linguistic representation of the word--the H is within the T, building up to the central E, which dominates, catching the following R-E-A within its massive bounds. Beyond it, the L trails off into an archipelago. I had been coming up with clever linguistic jokes as names for the various mountains and inland seas, but I realized--such a world is entirely uninhabited, and to name its features would only take away from the ethereal heart of it. So the map goes unlabeled, remaining simply an open expanse of word. |
