Laertes was Odysseus' father, but I feel like I encountered my mother's presence as forcefully as my father's while on this journey. (Odysseus met with Anticlea's spirit in the underworld. Thank Poseidon my mother is yet living!) But I have journeyed to some of my own underworlds to get to know her better.
