The Failure by The Villain
October 26th, 2007 11:59 PM
I hereby declare the failure of my Evil Plot to complete Player Manipulation. I have been thwarted by the digilence of Ms. Pish, who acts as Guardian over the Miniature Sutro Tower, which still resides in her Lair. The questor, Rabbit, charged with the recovery of this object, has proven to be unable to subdue the vicious Ms. Pish and retrieve the Tower. As of my defeat by the Herø in our final Duel, I can no longer expect that this task will be completed.
The Evil Plot was to convince Rabbit that he should steal the Miniature Sutro Tower from Ms. Pish, who believed that she was the rightful owner, thus creating a Crime Scene through Player Manipulation. What follows is the transcript of The Failure to complete the Player Manipulation task:
The Evil Plot
by The Villain
drafted 7.9.07
1) Steal Sutro Tower from Rabbit. Claim Sutro Tower Praxis. [completed 7.6.07]
2) Build 8”-model of Sutro Tower for Rabbit for Present Day. [completed 8.11.07]
3) Paint a picture of Chicago, which I do not need, for Creation Donation. [completed 8.12.07]
4) Build Diorama of Sutro Tower for Personal Diorama, using the Creation Donation painting as a background. Hide a consolation prize for Ms. Pish underneath the Tower. [completed 8.13.07]
5) Send Sutro Tower Diorama to Ms. Pish (with instructions to mount it on a wall near her computer). Request a photograph of the installation. [completed 8.13.07]
6) Draw up a treasure map leading Rabbit to Ms. Pish’s computer, with the following instructions: “The Tower is guarded by a vicious man-eating clown. Secret the tower away while the clown is distracted – you must not get caught!” Use Sutro Tower Praxis, along with Treasure Map, as proof of AAAAARGH!!! [completed 8.24.07]
7) … wait for Rabbit to steal the tower from Ms. Pish.
FOILED!

8) Post a picture of the empty Personal Diorama as Create A Crime Scene Praxis. INCOMPLETE
9) Post the receipt of Sutro Tower by Rabbit as Present Day Praxis. INCOMPLETE
10) Claim Player Manipulation of Rabbit and Ms. Pish for completion of Create A Crime Scene. INCOMPLETE

Elaborate and villainous and dare I say it? Brilliant.

this may be a premature failure. others may still steal that tower. until it is rightfully returned this is still fair game. although made much mode difficult by your alteration/obscuration of the vital map

Premature failure, perhaps. The tower may one day be recovered.
But I will not be claiming completion of steps 8-10. It is time to move on to new adventures.

A very dramatic plan of action, it takes a lot of gall to admit failure to such a grand plan.
And who says there is no honor among thieves?

That string of tasks has to be the most sustained SF0 narrative so far.
The Villain is my hero.

Oh, what tangled webs we weave...
What a plot!
