Tasks / Campaign Trail

Run for SFZero senatorial office. Lay out your platform. Engage in vicious mudslinging against your opponents and reveal secrets from their sordid past. Curry political favors from the powerful SFZero Players' Union. Take promo photographs of you kissing babies and shaking hands with community leaders.

If you receive 25 votes on this task you will be elected and sworn in. You will receive a senatorial badge (). You may then select a congressional committee and subcommitte (e.g. Ways and Means:Oversight, Appropriations:Select Intelligence Oversight Panel, etc.) and pass pork barrel legislation to benefit members of your group. The committee and subcommittee you select should reflect your character's personal goals within SFZero and your methodology for achieving those goals.

So who are the fifteen people holding this task, anyway?

If you're one of them and not planning to join the Senate, I suggest handing yours off to somebody who might wish to become the first Senator of Everyday Life. Perhaps an already-established politician?

SQUIBBS, YOU INTRIGUE ME.

Pity, I thought some senatorial elections were on the way, and I was very tempted to put myself forward as a candidate...

Debate
posted by Brock Dubbels on May 25th, 2010 11:03 PM

I have recently challenged several SF0 senatorial campaign trail taskers to a debate live on Dressing Gown Appreciation Day to be broadcast live and then recorded for public viewing. I request that you, as the SF0 community review your questions, concerns, hopes, and dreams, and compose questions, accusations, and hyperbole for the debate.

I have challenged
PDØ Pixie
Spidere
Lincøln
Burn Unit
Hungry Dust Beard /Lank
and
DarkAardvark
GYØ Tom, GYØ Ben
Eleanorest
lowteck
p00n p00n
Cthulu Kitty
UXØ Adam
babe
roger rabbit
squibbs
flower
Rao
Dubis Axel
Blue
to debate the issues.

I challenge all candidates to a debate on Dressing Gown Appreciation Day, MAY 30TH, AT 8PM cst at

http://www.livestream.com/unoi

All debaters, in order to be bated, must send me an email address that I can give you control of a camera, which you must have connected to a computer connected to the magical interweb so that you can present your platform, answer questions, and if possible, bait other candidates into capitulation, revealing the skeletons in their closet, and/ or making them cry.

To do this you must be a master at baiting.

You may bring babies to kiss, old people to hold hands with, whatever you think you need, but be warned, I may use my time machine and go into the future to know your answers before you say them, so again, be warned.

The opportunity stands, the gauntlet has been thrown.

Stand and face the challenge fellow candidates.

SF0 awaits your day of live broadcast on Dressing Gown Appreciation Day at 8pm CST.

This broadcast will be recorded, so your absence will be noted, and supplanted by a hand puppet that will say what I think you would say behind an impressive podium.

Arrive and face the nation, or be the puppet of my choosing.

You must send me an email address to participate on camera.

Dressing Gown Dressing Down Senatorial Debate
posted by Brock Dubbels on May 28th, 2010 8:47 AM

You have all decided to run for senate, some of you have been voted in, while others sit on Dante's couch. This web-casted debate should have as its talking points issues around -- Get Up, Take A Shower, Eat Breakfast, Go To Work for Dressing Gown Appreciation Day.

Please stick to the issues.

If you would, have puppets ready for those who do not show for the debate, so that I do not have to my hand up the ass of every candidate who does not debate.

All non-show candidates will be represented by a puppet.

Please choose a candidate to puppeteer. Multiple puppet-candidate-representation is encouraged, as we all may prefer to debate a perspective candidate as a puppet, even if that candidate is present.

All puppets should be in dressing gowns, as should all debaters, show some mastery baters.

As you know, you must send me an email address to give you webcam access, or sign up at Livestream and then send me your user name. I am happy to give out badges for the debate, as well as widgets so that you can post this monumental event.

This master debate should not be taken lightly.

Get Up, Take A Shower, Eat Breakfast, Go To Work for Dressing Gown Appreciation Day.

Please stick to the issues.

If you have pictures, video, or other items, these can be brought to bare through the camera -- you are only limited by the mastery of your baiting

Speaking as a sitting Senator, I want to know if you've addressed Senator Spidere's concerns about the date and topics of the debate. I think he expressed an issue with holding this debate on DGAD, and I plan on being out and about for most of the day celebrating DGAD. But I will make plans to modify my existing plans to accommodate the debate if I feel that Senator Spidere feels assuaged.

I also plan to be out and about; I'll be engaging in acts of violence and destruction in Amelia, Virginia most of that day and cannot guarantee my presence at the debate.

I am willing to move the day from DGAD if it means that I will not have to make so many puppets to represent you all. Improved contact with constituents is important --this senatorial debating can be done on another, although less auspicious day, if it means my hand will not be up the backside of so many political puppets.

New dbate day
posted by Brock Dubbels on May 29th, 2010 1:32 PM

After thoughtful reflection and my desire to increase participation, senators and hopeful senators have asked for a new day and time for debate.

I have thus moved the day to JUNE 1, 2010 at 10 pm CST.

Please be respectful of the fact that JUNE 1 is

# Donut Day

# Oscar the Grouch's Birthday
Sesame Street Character

# Stand For Children Day
Celebrated on this day in most places.

I also suggest that we nominate an immoderator and a set of questions based upon the get up, breakfast, shower theme.

the livestream can be found here:

http://sf0.org/brockrdubbels/

Please suggest an immoderator and topics

All debate will be done through the livestream .U.N.O.I. network
