Tasks / Time (and Medical Attention) Heals All Wounds

This task is retired.

Document a wound* as it heals, spending at least 4 days watching its progress. It can be on you or someone/something else. It must be a physical wound in the form of a bruise, a cut, a scratch, a burn, or something else that takes days to heal. No tiny hangnails unless they are impressively slow to heal and interesting to watch as they heal.

For bonus points, have acquired the wound doing something for SF0.

For extra-super bonus points, use leeches to promote circulation or maggots to eat away any dead flesh.

*Please do not cause this wound intentionally.

I wish I'd documented my wound I received fixing Doorhenge that one time.

Yeah, there wasn't enough Doorhenge-wound documenting all around.

All I have are pictures of the bandaged hand. I should have gotten a picture of that gaping hole as you tried to apply sutures. I had a camera in my pocket and everything. Such an idiot.

Oh yeah, I totally sutured it, didn't I? Hmmm... we weren't remembering to always be tasking.

I didn't have my phone yet, the one that reminds me to be tasking every day.

Wait a minute, Lank was there, and he wasn't bleeding or suturing. Why wasn't he documenting?
Tsk, tsk, tsk indeed.

I'm so damn clumsy....I'm bound to hurt myself in this era too. Hopefully not as bad as the ankle ordeal...cause that was just plain shitty.

I'd do the stitches in my mouth from the surgery for my wisdom teeth. But I was delirious for days afterwards (even now) and am in no condition to use a camera.

*A note for those sensitive to blood, gore and vulgarity: This praxis is graphic. I also swear quite a bit. And you'll need to put some time in to read this. If you want to take it paragraph at a time, that's cool with me. If you feel that the follow...

So who knew that playing Capture the Flag with children at least half my age could be so fun... or so dangerous? It was a warm day in June. The sun had finally come out after a long weekend of rain. I had been working hard in the camp kitchen all ...

The injury: A broken bone in my left hand, just below the fourth finger. I went swimming in rough surf, got knocked over, and broke a small but apparently vital bone in my hand. Below the task is documented in picture form. What I Learned (Before...

I was going to skirt around the suggestion of the task to not cause the wound intentionally -- I ended up bruising a friend of mine in an attempt to see if a small rubberband could break human skin. We failed, but it made for some interesting pictu...

This is a task I didn't think I would do. The injuries I suffer lately are so minor, or just so boring, that I never think to document them, so days would go by before I'd even think of doing a task like this. Then, the other day, something happened...

I am the Bee's Knees: An Exploration of Color in the Body I was hoping to not do this task. Mostly because I get queasy when I see wounds, blood, injuries, and the like. I can barely even look at other praxis for this task because of that. But when ...
