Burn A Flag by John Wayne

October 3rd, 2006 10:30 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Any flag [bonus for a flag of your own creation]. What's your gripe? Would burning a flag in public make you feel better? Will it at least be fun? Try it out! We're behind the rest of the world on this tactic; everyone else has moved on to burning cars.

However, if your symbolic protest actually accomplishes something, you'll have to resubmit under Fix it With Fire.

I created this flag, printed it, and then burned it.

While I certainly appreciate any good use of MS Paint, I think there's a bit more to this task. It brings up some good points about symbolic protest, and ideally should force people who pass by to confront thier own feelings about it. You may have accomplished that, but without good documentation, it's hard know, or learn anything from it. Could you elaborate on the where and why this flag was burned? Did any passerbys have any reaction to it?
