Your Phobia by Saint

June 19th, 2007 1:23 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Document a phobia or phobias that you have. Put it to the test.

I am an arachnophobe, and I have been since I was six or seven. It all began when I was at a family reunion, and had gotten tired of listening to old people talk about who had died recently, so I went on an adventure looking for bugs under rocks. After a few rocks, I picked up a stone tile, and on the backside was a spider the size of my face! I threw the tile, and ran back to the house screaming. Since then i have been afraid of spiders. I used to be so bad, that even pictures would freak me out. Anyway, as I have aged over the years, and grown mature and more stoic towards things like fear, I have pretty much gotten over my arachnophobia. I still don't like them to touch me though, but I actually now have a pet jumping spider that is in front of me even as I type this. His/Her (not really sure) name is Henry, and I caught him outside of my house only three days ago while I was going inside. I feed him bugs that i catch in my room, and he seems to be pretty content with things. I suggest that if any of you have a fear of something, confront it, it will make your life much easier.

He's in there somewhere, there's also this dumb ant that keeps moving all his food around, he's gonna die eventually.
