After spacebug's armwrestling adventure, her opponent tossed my lighter back to me.

I of course fumbled it.

The lighter got picked up by tall dreadlocked fellow at the next table. He was a bit wasted and gave me a bit of a hard time.

"Buy me a drink and you can have it back. No, just kidding, here you go."

My SF0 playing brain saw a shining opportunity. So I proceeded to go get him a shot of 12 yr scotch. Turns out his name is Bryce and "I blew him away and am totally awesome". Should have been the end of it.

A few minutes later, the gift scotch ended up in his friends lap. Bryce fell all over himself apologizing and then went and got both of us two more shots, 15yo this time. We got to hang out during the ordering process, and the conversation pretty much revolved around scotch and how great me and my friends are and how we're the coolest people he has met in a long time. This punctuated with lots of "No, seriously, man"s.

Awfully nice guy that Bryce. If I see him at a bar again, I'm buying him another drink. If i can spin this into a lifetime drinking buddy thing, I will.
