Alternative Medium Art by S 4

May 23rd, 2006 7:34 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create a Work Of Art using an Alternative, Infrequently Used Medium.

I began my task by cleaning out the fridge. Finding the bits of food which had gone bad, carved them up and assembled them into a landscape. But this is not my Food Art Installation, as this is a work in mold, a seldom used medium.

For reference, a conversation between Spacebug and I:

Spacebug: "It always looks like we have so much less food when you throw out all the stuff. Probably because there's so much less food."
S 4: "It wasn't food anymore, and now its art."
Spacebug: "But I can't eat the art."
S 4: "You didn't want to eat it anyway, it wasn't food anymore."

This is a transient piece that much like a poem is known to be complete when it is abandoned.

Often, it just boils down to when I can eat. 'cause I'm hungry a lot. Like right now.
