Culinary Adventure by Allie Schrader

Last week while drinking and playing stratego, my friends and I decided to make food. Being the culinary experts that we are, we decided on fruit parfait. Someone boilded down frozen fruit, and we all began adding it to yogurt. Now, to backtrack a bit, earlier in the day we had been cleaning the kitchen and found a box of three year old creampuffs that had been frozen and defrosted at least 3 time in the past month. We had thrown the creampuffs out, but had decided to keep the amazing chocolate packets that do not freeze (wtf?) So, back to the story, I'm a few cosmos into the night and see the chocolate packet sitting right next to the stove. "hm....." i think, "that could be interesting" I add chocoloate into the plain yougurt and pour fruit juices over the top. as i proudly carried my concoction into the other room i tried to get others to taste my creation, only to be told it was disgusting and gross and that they wouldn't come near it, that chocolate was just gross. So i was my own food taster. It wasn't bad, infact it tasted pretty good to my surprise. I pawned some of it off onto my boyfriend, he rather enjoyed it as well.
all in all, the lesson learned here was that while liquid chocolate that doesn't freeze may seem gross, it is absolutely delicious.

I like any writeup that begins "Last week while drinking and playing stratego..."
