Sing by Lici Channel

September 30th, 2007 4:55 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Sing beautifully on public transport.

I don't have a recording sadly, but I can tell all!

I rode on the bus right before I got here, and all of a sudden, I started singing "Personal Jesus" By Marilyn Manson. Well, the girl in front of me started singing too, then the girl next to her, and it just went in this little chain.

It was kinda creepy, but well worth it.

Hey Alicia, welcome to sf0. I salute any person gutsy enough to sing on public transport. I love to sing and yet I'm too shy to even sing in front of my best friends. Some don't even know I sing at all. However, in order to back up your case, you need some form of documentation.

Here on sf0, we try our hardest to make our completions as colorful and interesting as possible. A well documented completion that shows you put in a lot of effort garners more votes and a positive response. Now, sf0 isn't completely about winning, it's more about interacting with a group of people with a passion for pushing art, adventure and overall tasking to the next level. So in order to gain more respect, you need to prove that you have enough drive to do so.

A word of advice: check out another completion of this task by Minka tron, Mr Mouse and Charlie Fish. They have wonderful documentation and you can tell that they put in a lot of effort into doing so. Good luck with your endeavors and future tasking and again, welcome to this little game we call sf0!

In the future, it is possible to make audio recordings in SFØ using your cell phone:

To phone in audio proof call 415-992-5107 from the phone number in your account settings, leave a message, and it will appear in your media folder (accessible under the Files heading in the Submit Proof page) as an mp3 file.

And welcome to SFØ! I can't wait to hear of more task completions!

While I commend your choice of song, I can't vote for this task as the song in question isn't by Mr. Manson.

Oh, but if you'd had a recorder...that would have negated my mock outrage over not knowing who first did the song.

Ok, I have never heard the one by Depeche Mode.... ever... All I've heard is the one by Manson, which is listed right under Depeche Mode...

It's all about the Johnny Cash version.

Please. Johnny Cash did not do that song justice. The greatest version of that song is the Manson cover, and that's the only one that anyone should ever imitate.

Poo.

Well...

True, the Manson version is pretty harcore. But hearing an old man sing it after hearing it hardcore style is hilarious.

Needs more votes!

Sure, the documentation isn't the greatest, but that's still an amazing thing to do/have happen!

I hope you weren't offended by my clarification. I've loved that song since it came out in 1989, and thought you might enjoy the original.
