INSTRUCTIONS: Delineate your territory in a public space. We suggest you use walls.

This territory can be considered enemy territory by your foes for the purpose of completing other tasks.

My wall of territory also happens to be the desk where I work.

It's a public space within the Guild of Students. (Where some of my more bizarre completions have happened)

It's accessible all day every day.

It's VERY public. And I feel that I've let my personality out onto the walls in a unique way.

Let me walk you through. We'll go from right to left.

Starting with wall one. (See picture below)

There's the office clock which doesn't tell the right time. All the clocks in my life disagree. My computer says five minutes behind the clock on the wall and my phone on my desk says two minutes in front of the clock on the wall. Which is four minutes in front of my mobile phone and is six minutes ahead of my wristwatch. All this meddling with time doesn't help me at all.

Below the clock is a picture that says "Hope is a place somewhere between take off and landing". It was made by a clothing company called Howies. Hopefully I'll be able to weave them properly into a completion soon. Their website for other inspiring pictures is www.howies.co.uk.

There's an Anthony Gormley "blind light" postcard. Which was one of the most enriching artistic experiences of the last twelve months.

There's a picture from http://www.explodingdog.com which says "Pretend I'm a monster" and "I feel like Jelly".

There's also pictures of my three nephews within the various small squares which have small stories or pieces of inspiration.

There's a quote from Alexander Solzhenitsyn which says "Not everything has a name. Some things lead us into the realm beyond words". That inspires me.

There's a big perplexcity poster and I can't bring myself to take it down. One day they'll get back in touch, won't they? (I miss Von the most)

There's my brown hat in the foreground. I wear that on days when I want to feel a bit special.

Moving on round there's Martin Luther King, Mr Funny and Mr Cheerful. All inspirations to be a better person than I am.

There's also an image from the F project of Denise Green. She found out in 1999 that her son, William- was one of hundreds of children whose organs were remove, without consent, for research purposes. She reminds me that forgiveness is a difficult thing to live out. More info on the exhibition from http://www.theforgivenessproject.com/exhibition/

There's a picture of me holding a balloon looking terribly happy about it.

A picture of George Bush without a head at a podium. (The caption reads "the president's brain is missing"- makes me smile)

The baby Jesus being visited by the Magi which was a gift from my friend Ben Gilchrist. On the back he says I inspire him. Really Ben inspired me. He's an everyday saint.

A world AIDS day poster. Because the fight never ends and till a cure is found we all suffer together.

And the newest Stonewall campaign- "Some people are gay. Get over it!". To the point, I think.

Now to the toys and the quote.

Dexter: My nephew, Malachi- he's three, saw this on a shelf in a charity store, picked it up and started walking it around saying "Hello, I'm Uncle B". (He calls me Uncle B) He gave it to me and told me to take it to work.

Camel: My mum

Nunzilla: Another gift from Malachi.

Skull: I found this as I was walking around work one day.

Elephant: Elephant is a companion for camel. We were trying to do a soft toy nativity set.

Patty: On the wall behind camel is a quote from Patty Hearst. It goes "Mom Dad I'm OK. I had a few scrapes and stuff but they washed them up and they're getting OK. And I caught a cold but they're giving me pills for it and stuff. I'm not being starved or beaten or unnecessarily frightnend." Sometimes when being asked to test a mike these words just slide out... somehow I memorized them without noticing...

Guild of Students? Where is this? This sounds like a University, which is a private location.

Yay for Perplexcity!!!!!
I was there when the helicopters buzzed the Palace of Fine Arts as Sente reconnected the link. Too bad it isn't connected now.

The university campus isn't private property.

Maybe the laws are different here in the uk.

hmm....tricky U.K. Raise our tea taxes, and now this! Ya, i have no idea, but here most places like that are private. I suppose if it is a state school, then that might be arguable here.
