Random Acts of Kidness by Brandie Olesen

January 3rd, 2007 12:37 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: What did you love doing as a kid but haven't done in at least 10 years?

Go do it again.

Bonus points for providing childhood documentation of you doing it, in addition to the present-day documentation. Remember, you can't have done it for at least 10 years.

So, as a child I was constantly being told to get my finger out of my nose. Every so often I would even be caught eating what I was picking. There was something oddly comforting about finding a booger and seeing how the texture would be with the particular one I had found. As a biology major who has learned that mucus is made up of DNA and salt, (imagine a hoighty toighty accent) I have no insecurities of repeating my childhood actions.

I picked my nose and ate my boogers.

I'm glad that biology can be brought to bear on the question.
