Last week I used the stairwell (which is located on the outside of the building without a roof covering, but I had to get outside since being in a room with no windows for 8 hours does bad things to my eyes). As I ascended the stairs a large chunk of the stone stairs crumpled off and crashed below leaving debris of stone and rusted metal. This happened a few more times to other people until it was “suggested� that we don’t use the stairs and nobody came to clear the wreckage all week or even attempt to repair it.
I’ve been getting crazy phone calls from my boss saying “no need to come in today we have it covered� only to have her call back within the hour to say “Disregard that last message!� This happened twice this week…
I’m currently training another temp who’s going to replace me when I move to my next temp assignment. I wonder if I’ll have to fill out another background check to so I can work from a company for a few weeks.
