the internet is a virus that has spread to every part of the world. it has no cure and eventually it will control us all. for example: this web site has convinced people to do crazy tasks for no good reason but it impress other people controled by the internet.

Yes, but that's still the byproduct of the internet's influence on us.

Not all of it is productive; just some of it is. Besides, would you really ever do some of these productive ones if you didn't have this website that told you to?
i disagree, the point of tasks is to become involved in something more enlightening than sitting on our butts all day and eating cheatos. it makes us get up and do something, be active!
