You read the answer key? For shame...
there aren't really enough crossings to make it solvable without already knowing some of the stuff you're trying to introduce.
(I had a guess about your middle name, for instance, but didn't actually *know* that was where your username came from.)
Vote for crosswords. I haven't gotten around to the NYT today (in syndication) but it looks like it has a cool gimmick... and I'm going to solve it as soon as I'm done typing up this comment.
I might add that in my campaign, I mentioned (in a recent update) that I've got a stash of tasks that I've been waiting to submit until my campaign is over. I wasn't planning on saying this until I saw this completion, but there are multiple crossword-related tasks in the pipeline... one of which I think would appeal directly to you, Mssr. Chasseur.
So if you'd like to see it, well, bug SSI because they're really the ones who have the say, but voting for my campaign is the first step.
UPDATE: Gah, that was terribly hard for a Tuesday puzzle. Or I'm just stupid.
I read the wrong column on the answer key and was surprised to learn that you were very pants to meet us.
