Household evolution by Rao

I decided to go with my Xbox for this, but it occured to me that I had to go through in terms of natural seletion, so I decided to start at the beginning.
The first video game console to be released for homes was the Magnavox Odyssey, which soon died out, due to the popularity of PONG. The Odyssey 100, a system capable of playing only PONG, replaced the Magnavox. The Fairchild Video Entertainment System (VES), was the first cartridge based system that contained ROM memory. The VES led to the downfall of the Odyssey 100, and heralded in the Atari 2600 and Odyssey 2, which all had similar capabilities. The Atari 2600 became and remained a hit until Nintendo relaesed the Famicom, which was renamed the NES when it was sent to the US. The NES ended the Atari 2600's domination, but the NES was soon brought down by the SEGA Genesis, which was released 2 years before Nintendo could come out with the SNES. The Genesis and SNES were strong rivals for a while until they were both taken out of stores with the releases of the Sony Playstation and the Nintendo 64. These two are now extinct and have been replaced by the Xbox, Playstation 2, and GameCube. (The Dreamcast was dead as soon as it came out) Now these three are hanging on by a thread with the release of the Playstation 3, the Xbox 360, and the Wii.

Oooooh… no wonder we have stopped evolving… we have put all of our evolutionary energies into inanimate objects.
Ishmael was RIGHT!

That pic of the Atari 2600 really brings me back...
(Really dating myself there)
I think that was really well done, and not to mention awesome! Probably better than mine...
