Personal Promotion Campaign by Speznut Spikoo Moonkey, .thatskarobot

August 4th, 2007 2:37 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Publicly promote someone (through posters, stickers websites, etc.) you are personally affiliated with.

I'd hate to make this a retro-task, but I figure since it's an annual prank of ours, it was alright to say it's completed.

during my high school, (well, old high school, I'm alumni now.) class elections, my friend Andrew and I decided that we didn't like the way things were going so we ran a campaign to get him elected off-ballot.

We hung up many posters, ran a serious campaign, creating slogans like:

"Even though he isn't on the ballot, vote for Andrew Moore!"
"Andrew Moore is better than you!"
"Andrew single handedly defeated communisim and Hitler, vote andrew moore!"

The leadership class started a slander campaign, with posters like:

"He's not on the ballot for a reason."
"Andrew Moore eats babies"
"No Moore!"

It was a lot of light hearted fun.

amoung many others, it has turned into an annual thing, we campaign at multiple highschools in our district, and a few times it has gotten us into trouble. The last time it created a bit of an interest in our comedy group , Sylvan. This is hte only poster I have left, Andrew may have more he can upload. It's a picture of my friend Cory, from a play we did. I plan on updating this task next election season with our results.

Sincerely,
Justin Gomes
Andrew Moore for Pres. Campaign Manager.

P.S. - during the first attempt at this prank, we recieved the 2nd highest amount of votes out of 3 runners. Andrew wasn't even on the ballot.
