Ok, so this is not a typical day in my life, but I figured it was more interesting than a typical day. 

The day is April 26, 2008.  Dad and I are going to the first full BBF get together of the year.  (BBF = Bristol Buskin Frolic, one of the groups at the Bristol Renaissance Faire.)

 

Public: Red

Semi-private/Family: Purple

Private: Blue

 

Sometime before 8am: Wakes up and wonders why I’m awake this early on a Saturday.  Tries to go back to sleep.

8am: Beep beep beep. Why do they never turn that alarm off?

8:01am: Tries to sleep.

Sometime around 9am: Mom tells me I should get up.

9:23am: Sits up and put on my glasses.

9:24am: Goes to the bathroom and brushes my teeth.

9:30am: Goes into the living room and listens to a piece of music dad is arranging.

9:32am: Talks to dad about piece.

9:34am: Goes to my bedroom, fins a notebook and pencil and starts documenting my day.

9:41am: Gets dressed.

9:44am: Goes into the kitchen, gets a chocolate muffin and water.

9:46am: Goes to living room, eats, and talks to folks.

9:55am: Brushes the mass known as my hair.

10:06am: Puts on Utility Belt and jacket, and waits for dad.

10:09am: Puts on cloak, grabs music, and starts to head out.

10:13am: Finally leaves home.

10:15am: Runs back in to get dad’s keys.

10:18am: Gets into car and heads out.

10:21am: Gets to Walgreen and drops off dad’s meds.

10:22am: Leaves Walgreen.

10:27am: Gets to post office and waits in the car while dad mails a package.

10:30am: Sings to self.

10:33am: Dad gets back and we head off.

10:34am: Puts on new P.D.Q. Bach CD.

10:40am: Gets on highway to Milwaukee.

11:26am: Waves to Bristol as we pass it.

11:27am: Enters WI.

11:29am: Stops for food and gas.

11:35am: Yey Culver’s.

11:40am: Gets back on the Highway.

11:55am: Packs up the rest of my food for later.

12:05pm: P.D.Q. Bach ends.  Dad and I chat.

12:09pm: Puts on Blackmore’s Night CD.

12:11pm: Reaches Milwaukee.

12:29pm: Reaches Jenni’s place.

12:30pm: Helps bring food and drink stuff up to Jenni’s place.

12:38pm: More people arrive.

12:40pm: More people arrive.  Talking ensues.

12:43pm: More people arrive.

12:44pm: KTK shows a McDonald’s toy that plays music, which makes people “cry”.

12:45pm: Dad shows off his new CD.

12:47pm: Another person arrives.  We start talking about music.

12:52pm: Radio turns itself on.  Trevor turns it off.

12:53pm: We get back to talking about our music.

1:02pm: Another person arrives.

1:04pm: We play dance music.

1:47pm: We finish practicing said music.

1:48pm: Sam plays his violin while everyone else talks.  I listen to Sam and stay mostly quiet.

1:55pm: First newbee for BBF arrives.

1:57pm: Another vet gets here.

1:59pm: Goofiness with recorders.

2:02pm: Fun with bones (a musically instrument, not the ones in the body).

2:03pm: Bones get put away.  More talking.

2:17pm: First use of sex in the place of another noun of the year.

2:18pm: Goes outside to play games and dance.  Wishes I remembered to grab my jacket or cloak before heading out.

3:48pm: Goes back inside for food and drink and talking.

4:05pm: Everyone introduces themselves. 

4:25pm: We start talking Faire stuff.

4:38pm: Looks at flower names. (Each member of the group’s Faire name is floral.)

4:45pm: Nearly dies laughing because of some of the flower names.  (Queen’s Rocket Golden Rod, to name a couple.  Yes, both are real flower names.)

5:04pm: Finishes looking at flower names.

5:08pm: Announcements and planning for this season.

5:41pm: Talks about singing, gets more info.

6:07pm: Others bury Trevor in paper.

6:10pm: We sing.

6:58pm: I go to the bathroom.

7:00pm: Back to songs.

7:02pm: Hugs to those leaving.

7:03pm: More singing.

7:19pm: Another person leaves.

7:20pm: More singing.

7:24pm: End of songs.  More talking.

7:50pm: Jenni gives fun party favors.

7:55pm: Thought the yellow lollipop was lemon not banana.  Blaaaaa banana flavored candy.

8:15pm: Gets ready to go.

8:22pm: Finally gets out the door after hugs and byes.

8:24pm: Dad runs back in to get what he left.  I get in the car with Fi.

8:31pm: Dad gets back to the car and we head out.

8:39pm: Gets on the highway.  We chat a bit.

8:59pm: Puts on Merry Measure CD.

9:20pm: Waves at Bristol. Enters IL.

9:56pm: Merry Measure ends.

9:58pm: Enters Chicago.

10:10pm: Sees a couple of raccoons.  Thinks it’s really cool to see two of them at once.

10:14pm: Drops off Fi.

10:20pm: Picks up dad’s meds.

10:33pm: Parks car.

10:38pm: Gets home.

10:41pm: Reheats food and eats.

10:52pm: Gets on the computer to check email, chat a little on AIM, and play games.

11:41pm: Goes to the bathroom, changes into my p.j.s, and goes to bed.

Wait. . . you bring medication *to* the drugstore? Pharmacists in Bizarro World must spend their whole day pouring pills from little containers into big containers.

Hmmm, guess I did word that oddly, didn't I? But "empty med bottles to be refilled" just doesn't have the same ring.
