Make A Task: The Task by Erik Ogan

June 22nd, 2006 9:36 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Make a task for the game San Francisco Zero. To add a task:

1) Go to your character page. You know, your home base (click your photo in the upper right once you're logged in).

2) Look in the second row of navigation up at the top. Click "add task".

3) You'll be taken to a form where you can name and describe your task, give it a location in SF (if it's location-based), assign it to one of the five groups (or "general"), and suggest a required score and the number of points the task awards.

4) You can add more than one task - they'll all be listed on your home page - but you can only get these 30 points once.

Once you add your task, you can complete this task. We'll make this automatic one of these days...

Golden Gate Ride

I love riding a bicycle over the Golden Gate Bridge. I think it's something every resident should do at least once! It's also something that should be done as a social event. Unfortunately, none of my friends who ride have joined SF0 yet, so I can't complete my own task. (Serves me right for making it 2-20)

Anti-Anti-Consumer

I've been prattling on to anyone who will listen about SF0. I used the "Anti-Consumer" task as an example at one point, and a friend said, "If it were my game, I'd make it possible to negate that by donating a similar amount to a local charity."

I love the motivation behind "Anti-Consumer," but his point is a compelling one, and something that should be investigated by the Humanitarian Crisis folks.
