Language "Encryption" by Ernie Hsiung

June 4th, 2006 10:22 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Using online translation tools, "encrypt" some text (that you write or find) by translating it multiple times into different languages and then back into English.

For instance, "The drive to play San Francisco Zero" translated from English to German to French to Italian to English again becomes "The order of Saint game Francisco".

English: "The giant cat meows softly in the tree."
to Portuguese: "Os meows gigantes do gato macia na árvore."
to French: "Meows géants du chat doux dans l'arbre."
to Greek: "Meows gιants της γλυκιάς γάτας μέσα στο δέντρο."
back to English: "Meows of gjants sweet ga'tas in in the tree."

For the hell of it, I translated this sentence to Chinese, which comes to:
"gjants 甜ga'tas Meows 在樹。"

As I read a 3rd grade level of Chinese, I understand this sentence as the following:
"Gjant ENJOYS THE LOVING EMBRACE OF CHAIRMAN ga'tas Meows MAO."

Wow. It's pretty good.
