Take Some Notes by Aurora

January 19th, 2008 11:29 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Take some notes.

Notes on my cat:

He has been asleep most of the day. He is adorable (photographic proof to come!). He is white, with orange tabby-marked splotches which for a while earned him the nickname cow-kitty. He is about a year and a half old, very personable and curious, and has only been outside a few times in his whole life, mostly in a carrier as he was being transported to and from the car on the way home to visit our parents/grandparents up north. This being the case, his paw pads are still kitten-pink and tender, which makes him look even more adorable when he's doing his favorite thing - curling up in a blanket.

His name is Loki. He loves to sleep on blankets, especially blue ones. I don't know why. His friend Tyr, formerly Cadence, has been good for him, especially as a playmate. Tyr came to us from a friend who couldn't keep him any longer. When Loki was less than a year old he hurt his rear leg in a fall, and has had a slight limp ever since. The vet didn't know what was hurt or how, but it's apparently feeling much better since kitten has gotten a friend and some exercise. He sleeps all day (naturally) but is usually at the door to greet us when we come back from a shopping trip or classes.

He loves our couch and will spend hours sleeping on it in various positions - draped along the back like a luxury kitty-pillow, sprawled on his back with toes curled on one of the cushions, curled up in someone's lap or next to them as they sit and watch TV (this is a favorite of his, because he gets some lovin') or at our feet, especially when I have a blanket around my legs that he can burrow into. Loki loves to tunnel. When I sit at my computer he will climb into my lap, and then walk around to my back and try to force himself in behind me in the chair. It's endearing. Tonight he sparked my note-taking by trying to burrow into the space between my knees and my nice warm laptop. He got about halfway under before he got claustrophobic and backed out. I guess he likes tents at my feet better. Now he's sleeping on the back of the couch again, after several shifts between my lap, my side and the floor in the past 4 hours.

He's a special kitty, and totally endearing.

Your cat is called Loki? That's so funny, I have a player named Loki!
