Greeting Cards by Gadget
July 14th, 2006 1:41 AM
I've had mixed feelings about this task. I like the "messing with people" and culture jamming aspect, but I'm not a big fan of destroying store merchandise. As lame as the cards may be, some greeting card poet is missing out on a half a cent royalty because of our mischief.
My solution? Recycle the greeting cards!
Over the past few months, I've received several cards from relatives. As I was purging them from my desk, I decided that they deserved a second life. (The lyrics, "I returned as a bag of groceries accidentally taken off the shelf before the expiration date," popped into my head). I brought the cards to the supermarket, and as I pretended to browse, I deftly placed the cards back on the rack. I entered the store with 5 cards and I left empty handed.

Well done! I haven't done this task for almost that very reason.
Nicely done. And to be inspired by TMBG--all the better:)
