I've recently become obsessed with my mother's digital camera. Thusly, I decided that this task would be an excellent excuse to be all pretentious and artsy and generally get the chance to play with flashlights and be all OOCAMERAS&SHADOWS. I tried doing a shoot around 4 in the afternoon, but then complained that the light was far too bright, and that I was hungry. So! I waited until about 10 PM, then I asked my mother where all the flashlights were. She replied with something akin to "I keep the big one under my pillow so I can club robbers with it."

Okay.

Well, that took care of that.

However, I soon discovered that while it may have been a good flashlight for clubbin' it wasn't that great for illuminatin'. The solution? More flashlights. In total I think I broke out about four separate flashlights, and well, generally they each had a different personality and it was quite ace. I projected shadows of myself up against a white wall on which were framed pictures of both myself and my sister. I kind of wanted it to be a bit more symbolic than it turned out, actually, but meh, I think it's pretty.

Also, logistically, aiming cameras is hard, because, like, the flashlights are where you want the camera to be, but then you'd get pictures of you, and blah blah blah, and yeaaaaaaah.

EDIT: Here's a note to clarify my take on this task. The instructions said, uh, Make a self-portrait with a shadow that is you, and I did, I made portraits of me with shadows that were me.
