Fun With Food by Daniel, Elenlin
July 17th, 2008 4:46 PM
What better way to play with one’s food than to have a food fight? Of course, it couldn’t be just any old food fight. With the enlisted help of my little brother, sister, and mom, we created a battle zone.
The four of us went to a nearby park with marshmallows, pistachio shells, and our weapons. We set up the battlefield, I with a marshmallow castle and a rubber band slingshot, he with attacking star marshmallows and a cubicle-defense sized catapult, a forest of green tree marshmallows in the middle. (My little sister set up the trees and was collecting shells, my mom was taking the pictures.) The pistachio shells were our shots. The aim was to knock down has many of the other’s marshmallows as possible. We set things within range of each other. Unfortunately, we didn’t take into account the wind. The wind wasn’t too bad at first; it made firing at each other a little more difficult, but not too hard, and it wasn’t favoring anyone. Then it changed directions to favor my little brother, and then started picking up. We kept firing for a little while longer, but when the wind decided to start moving the trees we figured it was time to call it quits. The decision was he won, because the trees started moving towards my castle. The only damage that was done was done to my castle, by my own miss fire. Let’s hear it for friendly fire.
