Whenever I give this information to 14 year olds, several usually vow to boycott the store (but where else can you get Hello Kitty wristwatches? How punk!). I suppose my statement is towards not only the "non-conformist" culture, but also to the GAP. It goes to show that very few companies will ever stick to a certain aesthetic; whatever covers the most of the market is best (profits...must have more profits...). The same can be said for News Corp. NC runs ultra-conservative FOXNews and ultra-liberal FOX TV (think of what Sean Hannity preaches, then think of what the Simpsons preach).
