Food Eating Contest by INTJosh, Stone Saints, mock piratey turtle

December 8th, 2006 7:41 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose an inexpensive food source that exists in compact iterations (i.e. pancakes, tacos) and partake in a contest to eat as many of these iterations as possible. Document the final scores of each participant, as well as what eating techniques they utilized to bring their mass-devouring potential to its utmost leve.

After doing the Pop T(art) task (courtesy of INTJosh, who paid for the pop tarts), we figured there'd be no better way to wrap things up than with a pop tart eating contest. It was harder than we expected. Originally, we planned on a two minute contest, but the time flew and we made it five. Piratey was the winner, eating a total of 3 3/4 pop tarts in five minutes. Stone was a close second with 3 1/4. The pop tarts we consumed were decorated by friends Liz and Joy, and by a newspaper camera man. Also, we each decorated on with a picture of the other, and we started the contest by eating the tarts with our portraits on them. While we were preparing, a guy walked by and asked what we were doing. He told us that he'd won two food eating competitions. We asked him to judge our contest, but he didn't have time, although he gave us some advice--eat fast and drink along the way. He thought that in five minutes we could each eat seven pop tarts. He overestimated our abilities. It was a tough competition, both of us had sugar-numbed tongues at the end, but the best eater won.
