Reverse Madlibs by Peter Hentges

October 16th, 2006 11:36 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Play a game of reverse madlibs. Use the results to fill out your character's profile, if you wish. To play: either use the reverse madlibs generator below (from adlib.sfzero.org) or:
1. find a partner.
2. player 1 writes down a secret list of words or phrases.
3. player 1 gives player 2 the type of speech for each word/phrase (like "noun" or "verb + adverb")
4. player 2 writes down sentences, leaving blanks for the mystery words.

Being awake at an unjust hour, I used the reverse madlibs generator to create this plea for sleep:

The night lies like a Corno upon my brow.
Let the dracunculus medinensis of night creep gently to me.
I long for the streamy sleep that must come.
nontangibleness, servant of dreams, let my rest come soon.
Give me, in your kind sway, the retrobulbar dreams that I so long for.
Torment me not with brazas.
Nor set your beasts of mutual savings bank upon me.
I promise plasma membrane for you, should you grant my wish.
I welcome your uncombatable gift.
With genicular vein I wait the coming dawn.
