Make A Task: The Task by Jackie H

Some ideas (some of which I've mentioned to Ian but will now demand points for):
1. Something with the 49-mile Scenic Drive. Figure out a way to do it with public transportation. Petition the city to make the 49-mile Scenic Drive accessible to those without cars. Or, make your own and describe why it's scenic. Put up signs around SF pointing drivers to your scenic drive. Make souvenirs of your drive, and sell them at important intersections along the way.
2. Public Records Act Task. Go to one of the following San Francisco city offices: Department of Planning, Department of Building Inspection, or another of your choice. Request the file or architectural plans of a building that interests you: a downtown skyscraper, your house, or (maybe better) a friend's house. Delve into the file. Feel its power. Report the results. (Take notes; if you want the files, they'll charge you $.10 per page.)
3. Public Records Act Task 2. I think Ian may have already used this idea a bit, but I swear, it's mine. Go to a SF office where they have files for public viewing. Bring some pre-made file-inserting materials with you (e.g. a fake love letter, a receipt for an embarrassing medical procedure, something official-looking but half-burnt, something describing how the officials used $1,000,000 in drug money to buy a house in Jamaica), and add these to the file. For maximum effect, hole-punch them (two holes at the top, most likely) and include the names of people who you know the file may concern--city planners, building inspectors, etc. Choose your file carefully--for instance, buildings that are still being built will have more file-viewers than ones that haven't been remodeled in years. Report the results.

All you need to do is go to your own player page. In the secondary navigation up top, one of the options will be "add task" which takes you to the form to do just that. :)
