Language "Encryption" by Jason

July 11th, 2006 3:35 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Using online translation tools, "encrypt" some text (that you write or find) by translating it multiple times into different languages and then back into English.

For instance, "The drive to play San Francisco Zero" translated from English to German to French to Italian to English again becomes "The order of Saint game Francisco".

i used the first part of the deefhoof song "siriustar", which goes thusly:

Boom, light that fire.
Howl, howl, howl.
Deergod's eyes.
Wild music of the hoof playing in big fire.
Boom, light that fire.
Howl, howl, howl.
Lunatic night rises.
Sonic of the moon flips them inside out.

deefhoof lyrics are kind of jumbled up in the first place, so i thought if i translated it enough that perhaps altavista's babelfish would eventually try to impose some coherent order. you decide.

translated from english to spanish, spanish to french, french to german, and then back to english:

Upswing, light, which it ignites.
Cry, cry, cry.
Eyes of Deergod.
Wild music of recruiting, which plays in large fires.
Upswing, light, which it ignites.
Cry, cry, cry.
Moved rises of the night.
Sonic of the moon shifts it within a traction toward the exterior.
