Escape from the Camera by Johnny Yuma
December 16th, 2007 1:22 PM
I drove up to the high country to see some winter weather - and nearly froze myself! 10 degrees is too cold to sleep comfortably my car.
I headed toward home before dawn and found this scenic overlook just before the sun rose. I took a number of landscape shots (a few even good) and as my fingers and toes passed painfully cold to numb, set the camera to 2 seconds and started running.
Enlarge it for a stunning view of the valley.

I swung wide to get around the legs of my tripod and went at an angle because the slope was steeper than it looks. And yes, I turned right as the shot took.

I vote because that photograph makes me want to be there.
it's weird because it looks like you're running sort of at a 90 degree angle to the camera's direction. did it catch you mid-turn?
