Photographic Sentence by Lizard Boy

January 2nd, 2007 9:42 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Make a sentence out of photos you find online (or on your computer). Each photo makes up a word or concept.

When shielded from all danger, beauty can fade.

This is submitted as a collage, rather than discrete photos, because I wanted to take advantage the spatial nature of visual communication. When using words you're restricted to sequence, but with pictures you have a lot more freedom to arrange them spatially, overlap them, etc. Also, it's worth noting that there isn't really a one-to-one correspondence between the pictures and word phrases, as makes sense for any "translation".
