Personalized Spam by Gen-Nam, Sombrero Guy

Next, I composed an e-mail trying to persuade people to apply for a free card and ask for payment options. I did not expect this to happen, so I also added the 'if you wish to be removed from our mailing list' bit.

I received one reply to this. Gen-Nam wrote to my own e-mail account asking 'Did you think you could spam me?'.
Unfortunately I had made the mistake of mentioning to him a few weeks ago that I was going to redo this task. He also said that the logo was rubbish and the style of writing was like me.
Because he is a lot better at using Photoshop, I recruited him as my artist. He designed this far more professional-looking logo in time for the second e-mail:

I then sent the second e-mail, advertising a competition:

I realised after sending this that I had forgotten to put the e-mail addresses in the bcc line. I thought this would be a big mistake and reveal who I actually was, so I tried to cover my back with the following e-mail. It also helped that I sent the e-mail to myself as well.

I then received a reply from Daniel Palmer, who knows how spam works. He is either referring to me in the second paragraph or he is bluffing. If he did know that all the people were on my contacts list, I'm lucky he didn't take his thinking one step further and realise it was me sending them.

It's reasurring to see that none of our friends are stupid enough to reply to messages like these.

I'm gonna vote for the coincidence that you sent the message on a day that Daryl checked that account. It's only because we had mock Additional Maths papers coming through!
I suppose it isn't really spam, but the way I read the task you just had to send an e-mail and receive a reply without them identifying you.
I'd like other people's thoughts on whether this approach counts as completing the task.
I could always try again with someone else...
Me too, spam is annoying email to either sell you something and/or steal your credit card info and/or your address book.
OK. I'll try composing some REAL spam.
But first I'll need a different fake e-mail address...

Beside the point, it wasn't spam, it was a question.

That's not really spam is it? I mean, it's not selling anything. It's more like a polite question...
