Eavesdrop by LSK

April 22nd, 2008 9:49 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Eavesdrop, documenting the conversation verbatim. Don't get caught!

In the school library.

The 65-year-old librarian accosted a youth. "Alright, who's next? ID? Are you new?"
"Yes." she said, as if numb to the accusatory tone the librarian had used.
"Last name?"
"Rivera."
"R-I-V-E-R-A?"
"Yes."
"First name Elizabeth?"
"Yes."

Hm.... Were you able to determine what upset the librarian?

I suspect that school librarians are always uptight.

I would like to hear more of this story.

It gets a bit less interesting in context. The librarian proceeded to show the student how to check out a book. The student, having completed this torturous assignment for her teacher, sat down at a computer and probably went to MySpace or something of that ilk.

Well, let's just assume a dragon was involved. Maybe some vampires, but probably just a dragon.
