Document Reproduction by Ladybug

August 29th, 2007 10:25 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Document reproduction.

I guess from my Ladybug vantage point I see so much reproduction going on in my garden that that was the first thing that came to mind when I read this task. When I checked out some other players completions, it dawned on me, oh duh, sure, they’re thinking of sex. Well, this reproduction does involve the birds and the bees and it is really quite amazing to see what you get from one small seed.

So here's what will be reproducing. These plants grow 8'-10' tall!

It all started for me when I picked up the seeds in Waterford, MD. They were being given away to promote the town goal of making Waterford a "Village of Hollyhocks."

Some good dirt, water and sunshine and they begin to grow.

These fallen seeds actually reproduce on their own, making Hollyhock weeds!

The next generation

I can't bear to kill the weeds, so instead put them into little pots to plant somewhere else, perpetuating the cycle.

If anyone else would like to have some Hollyhocks, let me know, I've got a few extra seeds around

I love hollyhocks. They remind me of my aunt's garden in her village in England...
