You are your own ecosystem by Ladybug

INSTRUCTIONS: Document seven visible-to-the-naked-eye living things that are dependent on you for survival.

When I first read this, I thought, oh, no problem. There are surely 7 things which are dependent on me for their survival. But then as I pondered what to choose to document, it occurred to me that it seems rather arrogant to assume that things couldn't somehow survive without me. Even my kitties, which surely depend upon me, would most likely ingratiate themselves to some other person to get their fill of kitty treats and fresh water. And what about the birds that feast at my bird feeder? Surely they enjoy the ease at which they dine when presented with their nyjer seed, but of course they would find another source should my offerings end. So, instead of insisting that these things couldn't survive without me, I instead offer that my contributions towards their existence make them thrive rather than struggle on their own. That said, here is my list of 7 things that are glad I'm around to take care of them:

+ larger

Spathophyllum
Phalaenopsis
Ficus
Watering the ficus
Sunflowers
Finches
Goldfinches
Kitties

I like that you didn't just assume that they couldn't survive without you, how truely biome minded of you!

You strike me as a very caring person. And you must have a lovely house with all those plants in it.
