Early Eno Revival by LeEvil, Ohrlyeh Totenkinder

June 11th, 2007 6:01 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Publicly manifest one of the original Oblique Strategies 1975 edition, in order to express your chosen group's area(s) of concern.

This task has built in value through scarcity: Players must not repeat strategies manifested by other players' proofs. This task will be retired upon exhaustion of all Strategies from the original first edition.

So I made an event in an attempt to do Epic Collaboration, It didn't go off so well.....

and I blame you!

Because you are LAZY! I mean seriously...this task is easy AND interesting.... LAZY!

Granted it was a great afternoon with damn good food and damn good people. So in the end it was really your own damn loss.

Unless a mass of postings happen There was not an epic level of tasking sufficient enough to constitute a submission for epic collaboration.

I did try however. I put my heart into it and I failed. The drive was there, but the love had retired to a Tijuanian whore house.

I would like to commend...
Lowteck
Anna One
Leevil
Sean Mahan
Avidd
and
Rock Hard Phantom

along with my good non game friends Emily, Andy and Vanessa as well as a few other people whose names escape me at the moment.

for being awesome and showing. I know at least 3 Strategies got enacted on the date, hopefully more will show soon.

ENOUGH WITH THE BERATEMENT AND ON TO THE TASK!!!!!

I chose "Humanize something free of error" I really wanted to follow the direction "express your chosen group's area(s) of concern." This is something I see players forgetting about from time to time, that groups are more than a line to tasks, but a mentality for task completion.

The only thing that I could think of that is free of error was parking meters. Some might say that they are in fact completely without fault, but even if that do fail to count time properly....you still get a "fuck you" and a ticket which you cannot dispute..... so in essence in the eyes of the law..."Free of error"

Over the course of the last month or so I asked people "What would a parking meter think introspectively or existentially?" I got enough good ones to fill a block.

OH AND FOR CHRIST SAKES.....

I question whether parking meters are truly free of error, but nevertheless, well done.

I would've done the task had I really understand exactly what what supposed to be done (or been able to figure out something to do, is more like it).

I did "Use filters" but I haven't gotten the film developed yet. Don't berate me... it's my birthday.

at some point that day, i tried to start a band with sean. we had an unbelievably obnoxious musical megaphone and a child size accordion. but i couldn't even play the simplest of songs on either one.

I also feel that people need to be into their group more. And personally, I don't like when people fly groupless. (Only an opinion)
Word to those fighting the crisis! I's pour some out for my hommies but I'm at work and don't have some, plus the crisis abhors waste of that kind. Maybe later I'll drink some for the hommies...
