I was entertained. :) Not quite enough for a vote, but entertained nonetheless.
To be fair, I was amused the first time.
But then, I'm not a big fan of wordplay completions, unless they put forth a meaningful amount of effort to go with their cleverness.
So, does it count? It counts enough that I won't flag it. But it doesn't count enough to make me vote for it. My answer was intended to have a certain degree of seriousness to it -- yes, it counts, but is that really the standard one should aspire to when playing SF0?
I do agree that the best part of SF0 is those completions where people have gone above and beyond to make something really amazing happen. That is the sort of thing that we should aspire to.
But I'm also a fan of the way that SF0 encourages us to incorporate the unusual into our everyday lives, and I feel like small little tasks reflect that. That is, I don't think that there's anything wrong with a short burst of cleverness (though it helps if that cleverness is unique, sometimes it's worth it just to give yourself a new experience or a quirky task).
You're also right, though, that Grant B seems to be on a minimal requirements understanding...I think a lot of new players start off that way, and that it's a good idea to try to help them see the sort of effort they can be striving for, rather than just avoiding being flagged. Everyone seems to eventually either grow past that and start doing more interesting completions...or get bored and leave. If all you're doing is minimal effort, I don't think SF0 is much fun.
Yeah, that's basically the sentiment I was aiming for. Perhaps it would be better phrased as "Did you have fun completing this task?" If you had fun doing it, chances are good that someone will have fun reading about it. There are completions that I find boring, but clearly people had fun doing them and others enjoy reading about them -- and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that :)
I'll vote for originality.
(I don't count Rubin's completion because it was before my time on SF0 and I'd never seen it.)
That would depend upon your goal. Is your goal to put forth the minimum effort that meets the letter of the task description, or is your goal to do something meaningful, entertaining, interesting, impressive, or otherwise worth sharing with others?
