These are 7 videos, entitled cities 1-7, were taken over a period of about three years. The plan was to eventually collect hundreds of these and set up an art piece where the viewer would input their phone number, SSN, or some other personal information and a computer would dispense a video for that person on a giant screen. All the videos would very organic feeling yet be so pixilated that they would be difficult to make out. you don’t get that effect watching it here, but it is really noticeable even at twice the size. At full screen, it works nicely. I recorded them with an old digital camera with super low resolution. The idea never went anywhere, but I plan on finishing it eventually.
MFA study cometh

This is the first time that I have put these videos together.

the idea was for the videos to be spontaneous using whatever background noise or music happened to be playing and that happenstance along with the "chosen" viewer would hopefully crate conceptual cohesion.
