Present Day by Ohrlyeh Totenkinder

September 10th, 2007 12:59 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create a pointed and thoughtful present (wrapped, naturally) for a close friend, lover or loved one. Document both the present itself and your giftee's reaction upon opening it.

You may also make this package for an enemy.

A gift so goth it almost cut itself open.

So...I submitted a task for approval a while back that was very close to this one only it was entitled "The Gift of Wrap" because...

A: I am, in fact, gifted with the gift of wrap.
and
B: I can't pass up an opportunity to make a Digital Underground reference.

The task I had in mind was to create a gift wrapping that was so creative and unique it would inspire as much, if not more, joy than the present itself.

I have a long history of crazy gift wrapping. It is almost a hobby. I try and outdo myself with each subsequent effort. There is a common theme...I tend to use supplies and items that I steal from whatever job I happen to be working at the time. There was a good six months when all of my friends received packages elaborately wrapped in office supplies and FedEx envelopes. At the time of Ms. LeEvil's birthday I was working at a frame shop. Granted the gift itself was not created by me, but Im not sure anyone can dispute that the wrapping had the hand of p00n all over it.

Lee had owned an Ipod for at least a year and not used it once...some of you who know me well enough also know of the close personal relationship I have with my own Ipod who I have named Remora....(ever so appropriate) so I decided to get her some gifts that might bring her closer to her own umbilical musical digibaby.....(yeah I creep myself out sometimes as well) Here is the wrapping meticulously documented. this video shows the gifting in action.
