I plan on recreating this task again in a more.....normal environment, but I decided to give it it's first run at Burning Man in Center Camp because I figured that the likelihood of success was higher in this environment.

On Saturday afternoon I held a Mind Control Battle Royal. The Idea was to get two groups of people to enter into a psychic duel with each other. I would have plants to start acting as if they had been controlled throughout the event to spur the normals into getting creative and see how many unaware people I could get to act out.

the video starts a little bit after my speech and the audio is kind of obscured by a capoeria group who refused to give up the center stage for the five minuets it took to complete the task. I had asked them if I could take over center circle for a few do what I had planned... they agreed but after I started they moved right back in started their hippie drum beating dance crap and tried to enlist people who had come out for the battle into their circle in an attempt to push me out.....assholes if you ask me. The script is as follows...

POON ON THE BULLHORN: OK I know you have all been to hippie new age bullshit work shops this week that have impressed upon you the power of the mind. They have told you that you have the ability to create reality around yourselves and you can, with practice, perform mind control on others. in keeping with the theme of non violent no contact fighting our friends here have been exhibiting, I propose that you, now, put this into practice and participate in a Mind Control Battle Royal where two teams will attempt to command each other with their minds. The team which has had more player succumb to the will of their opponents at the end of the battle will loose. Everyone can do it! Everyone can participate! Get up and come to center circle and destroy others with your mind! I need all of you to come forward. Participate! This is Burningman..not Watchingman! Lets go! Everyone can do it! Stand up and come out to the center! Don't be afraid! Come out! All you people need to participate! Destroy you opponent with your mind ..the force of your thoughts!

(I managed out of the hundreds of people in center camp to get about 12 people to step forward. This does not include my three plants...Avidd, Jared and Eli who had been instructed to "do something weird" at some point during the battle.

P00n: Alright I need one group of people over here..I need one group of people over here...Push back...Push back...alright. Now when I..Are we even? are you guys playing? alright, we've got 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8..1,2,3,4,5,6,7..good enough. (a pause why I try and figure out why the Brazilian fakeo fighters are being such assholes.) alright everyone move back. Alright here we go. when I start this I want you all to use your mental powers...the focus that you have to destroy the other team, to make them do whatever you want them to do. YOU HAVE THE POWER! 1,2,3...GO!

most of team one kind of stood there blankly for a few seconds apparently confused as to what they were supposed to do.

P00n: Oh..OH LOOK THEY ARE JUST STANDING THERE! THEY'RE ALREADY MESMERIZED! OH OH OH WAIT WE HAVE A CHICKEN..WE HAVE ONE CHICKEN MAN! (AVIDD) TEAM TWO ALREADY HAS A CHICKEN! OH, AND IT HURTS (JARED WRITHING AROUND ON THE GROUND) OHHH THEY ARE FIGHTING..THEY ARE FIGHTING AGAINST THE..A HAND STAND BOY...DOING A HAND STAND. THE TEAMS ARE NARROWING DOWN! OHH AND THEY ARE HUGGING...I DON'T KNOW WHO DID WHAT BUT THE FIERCE BATTLE, I BELIEVE, HAS TURNED INTO A CUDDLE PUDDLE!! WHAT'S HAPPENING?!?! OHHHH AND RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU PARTICIPATED AND YOU ARE STILL ALIVE! OH I BELIEVE TEAM TWO HAS WON (I get pulled down) THE POWER OF MENTAL CAPACITY WORKS...ALRIGHT THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING...EVERYONE ELSE IS KIND OF LAME!
