Not The intended Use by Mind Boggle

February 8th, 2008 9:37 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Use something but not for its intended use.

I've always unintentionally used things for the wrong purpose. As long as things function to my benefit, it doesn't matter if I'm using it the "right" way. Here are a few things put to their unintended use.

- Oven: used to store pots and pans, not to bake

- Dishwasher: used to store dishes, not wash them

- Projector screen: used to cover mirrors, not project things on

- Transparent Patio Doors: used as shower doors where everyone can clearly see your naked body

- Lint roller: used to pick up hair that is usually left on the bathroom floor after a shower

- Gum boxes: used to store medicine

- Little brother's sock: used as an iPod case

- smaller

Oven

Oven

This is our oven. We use it to "bake" pots and pans.

"Pan" fresh from the oven

"Pan" fresh from the oven

I wish we actually had an oven to bake "pan." But this is our only oven, and I hate seeing my mother put it to use like this.

Inside the Dishwasher

Inside the Dishwasher

It's actually a dish-storer

Mirror

Mirror

These are sliding mirror closet doors in front of my bed, but people have told me that it's bad to sleep in front of mirrors.

The Screen

The Screen

So to cope with that problem, I've decided to use one of those overhead projector screens to cover my mirror. (I wish I actually had a projector so I could project movies the screen and watch them from my bed.)

Shower Doors?

Shower Doors?

These are clearly not shower doors because they a are absolutely transparent. They are actually sliding doors for patios.

Clearly not shower doors

I have demonstrated with a balloon inside to show the clear exposure of my substitute shower doors.

Hair on the Floor

Hair on the Floor

I have gather a small pile of hair on the floor to show how I use my lint roller.

Hair Close Up

Hair Close Up

Here's a close up of the hair, in case it's not visable in the previous photo.

Step 1

Step 1

Rip off the used linty sheet to ensure maximum stickyness.

No more mess!

No more mess!

See the lint roller work its magic off the bathroom floor.

Step 4

Step 4

Rip off hairy sheet and discard. You are now left with a clean hairless floor.

Gum Boxes

Gum Boxes

I put my medication in gum boxes because I don't like carrying around the real container.

Green=Day, Blue=Night

When I'm not home, these gum boxes are what I use to carry my meds around in case I need them.

Baby Sock

Baby Sock

This use to be my kid brother's sock, but not anymore.

iPod Case

iPod Case

Now I use it for my ipod. I currently don't have a actual case for my ipod, so my brother's sock should suffice for now.

Cute iPod case! Some crafters are actually selling iPod cases and coin purses constructed with modified patterns for children's socks. You're on top of that fashion wave!

Little brother's clothes: used as a towel.
That image is going to remain with me forever.
