I recently discovered that a friend of mine uses GIR singing the Doom song as her ring tone. On similar occasions, I may throw the horns to express my appreciation. However, that doesn't really "rawk." It geeks. Totally. So I threw the V.

Ain't nuthin' geekier than the Vulcans, yo.

A further example: Bryiarrose is researching avocados. Did you know that 2 tbsp of avocado has half the fat and half the calories of a slice of cheddar cheese? And that there is a type of avocado called Bacon?! That deserved the V.
