With the aid of Piratey, Ink, Oliver, Star5, Gadget, Alice Gray, and... uhm... some other burners, we threw our Rubin a surprise unbirthday in the middle of center camp. Ink wooed a cafe volunteer with a bullhorn to lend it so Ink could announce the birthday and get everyone to sing along. Piratey brought party hats, noisemakers, blowouts, and paper which she and Gadget made birthday signs from. Oliver distributed party favors, signs, and birthday cards to strangers nearby, asking to keep them hidden until our unbirthday boy showed up, escorted by Celina and RockCandy. Star5 made an unbirthday uncake out of gummi bears, licorice, and a match. The best part was watching Rubin sing along, slowly realizing that it was HIS party.
Center Camp is a good venue for an unbirthday party. Piratey gifted a talking soap dispenser. Everyone needs one. Yes. Needs.
I have no photos. Help me out, burners!

Thanks Drinky, but I have to defer credit to Camp Disarray. Sure I brought the gummy bears and contributed to the singing, drawing, and debauchery, but it was the creative MN freaks at Disarray that conjured the whole thing up and set the plan into motion.

I heard Rubin talking about this last night and he seemed genuinely touched by the unbirthday party. Nice work!

It hit a soft spot in my heart. Only time I've seen Olly smile!

Suddenly I realize why it wasn't hard to borrow a bullhorn. I wasn't wearing clothes! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!?

We were at Burning Man, they were giving nude massages not 15 feet away.
Not saying it was a bad thing. :P
I like this. I'm sad I missed it.
I'm mostly voting for Gadget's red name in that sea of black. Go Equivalenz!
When I first looked, I wondered why Rubin's name wasn't on the list, but that makes sense since the party was for him... After all, who needs points when you've got a talking soap dispenser!
